Rome : Flights serving the eastern Sicilian city of Catania were halted on Tuesday after an eruption from nearby Mount Etna, the airport operator said, bringing fresh travel woe during the peak summer tourist season. Vilnius : Estonia’s parliament on Monday approved Climate Minister Kristen Michal as the country’s next prime minister, replacing Kaja Kallas who recently resigned to become the European Union’s foreign policy chief. Michal, 49, who like Kallas is from the liberal Reform party, will lead the same centre-right majority coalition as his predecessor, together with the liberal Estonia 200 party and the Social Democrats. Manama : The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the implementation of 220 inspection campaigns and visits, during the period of 14 to 20 July 2024, which resulted in the detention of 40 violating and irregular workers, while 98 violators were deported.
