Manama : The Anti-Cyber Crimes Directorate of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security has summoned and detained two individuals aged 24 and 27 for circulating social media posts that are religiously offensive  by insulting figures revered by a particular sect and inciting sedition and sectarianism in a manner that contravenes principles civil peace and social stability. The Anti-Cyber Crimes Directorate said that the necessary legal proceedings are being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.

Italy :  Milan court has ordered , Giulia Cortese, journalist to pay Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni damages of €5,000 (around $5,400) for making fun of her in a social media post. Cortese can appeal against the sentence, and Meloni’s lawyer said the prime minister would donate to charity any damages she eventually receives.
