Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued Edict (69) of 2025 appointing a director at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, based on a proposal by the Minister of Industry and Commerce. Article (I) Hashim Shubbar Hilal Al Wadaei shall be appointed Director of the Business Services Directorate at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Article (II) The Minister of Industry and Commerce shall implement the provisions of this edict, which shall take effect from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette.
Beijing : China launched a new remote sensing satellite from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in the southern island province of Hainan. The Yaogan-46 satellite was launched at 11:47 a.m. (Beijing Time) aboard a modified Long March-7 carrier rocket, Xinhua reported. It has entered the preset orbit successfully. It will be primarily used in disaster prevention and relief, land resource surveys, hydrology, meteorology, and other related fields. The launch was the 605th flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
Manama : Blue Aster Capital B.S.C., a Bahrain-based investment business firm licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain, today announced the launch of the SP Realty Fund Protected Cell, a Bahrain-domiciled, closed-ended Exempt Collective Investment Undertaking (CIU) with an initial target size of AED 150 million. Hanoi : Floods triggered by record heavy rains have killed at least nine people and left five others missing in central Vietnam. Six of the fatalities were in Danang, home to one of the country’s most popular beaches, and the ancient town of Hội An.
