Manama : Continuing the joint cooperation between the Ministry of Information and the MBC Group, acting auditions to discover talent in the Kingdom of Bahrain have begun. Organised by “MBC Talent” in partnership with the ministry, the auditions will run until Monday, July 28. The programme aims to showcase Bahraini artistic talent through personal interviews and recorded performances. Successful candidates will be added to MBC Group’s talent database and may take part in future drama productions, highlighting the creativity and excellence of Bahraini artists across the Gulf and Arab region. Manama : The Bahrain Space Agency (BSA), in collaboration with the UN-affiliated Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education for Western Asia, held a workshop on strategic planning for space programmes, highlighting the Bahraini experience as a regional model. Seoul : South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has raised the travel warning level for several border areas in Thailand and Cambodia following recent armed clashes between the two Southeast Asian nations. A special travel advisory was issued effective from Friday noon for Thailand’s Surin, Buriram, Sisaket, and Ubon Ratchathani provinces, as well as Cambodia’s Oddar Meanchey and Preah Vihear provinces. Manama :The Bahrain Film Festival has announced the launch of its new visual identity in preparation for its fifth edition, scheduled to take place from October 30 to November 4, 2025, under the theme “Short Films Great Stories”. Mogadishu : The Somali Ministry of Defence announced that the army repelled a dawn attack by terrorist elements in the southern region of the country, killing 18 militants. The clashes occurred in the Sabiib and Anole areas of the Lower Shabelle region. According to the ministry, four Somali army personnel were also killed during the confrontation.

London : Fully electric vehicles accounted for more than 15% of all new car registrations in the European Union during the first half of 2025, according to data released by the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA). Between January and June, around 5.58 million new passenger cars were sold across the EU, marking a 1.9% decline compared to the same period last year. Of these, 869,271 were fully electric vehicles, representing an 8% year-on-year increase and raising their market share to 15.6%, up from 12.5% in the first half of 2024. Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (41) of 2025 appointing and transferring officials within the Ministry of Interior, following a proposal by the Minister of Interior and the approval of the Cabinet. The decree stipulates the following: Article IVShaikh Khalid bin Humood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa is appointed as Governor of the Capital Governorate, succeeding Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, for a four-year term.
