Manama : The Supreme Council for Women has opened applications for the fifth edition of the “Imtiaz” Initiative, inviting Bahraini female entrepreneurs to showcase their projects and success stories. The initiative recognises women under 45 with at least three years of entrepreneurial experience. Applicants must be Bahraini nationals, submit a financial report, and hold a valid business licence with at least 50% ownership in a trade or service-based project. Applications close on August 30. Manama : The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the implementation of 1,425 inspection campaigns and visits from July 27 to August 2, which resulted in the detention of 14 violating and irregular workers, while 106 violators were deported. The inspection campaigns and visits also resulted in monitoring several violations related to the provisions of several regulating laws, especially the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and the Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting that legal measures were taken regarding the observed violations. Beijing : China’s marine economy expanded steadily during the first half of 2025, with gross ocean production reaching 5.1 trillion yuan (about $708 billion), marking a 5.8% year-over-year increase, according to preliminary data released Friday by China’s Ministry of Natural Resources.
