Manama : The Ministry of Interior stated that, according to the testimony of the three sailors aboard a Bahraini vessel subjected to armed robbery on February 18, they were forced at gunpoint from the territorial waters of the Kingdom of Bahrain into Iranian waters, where one of the vessel’s engines and other belongings were seized.  The sailors confirmed that the perpetrators were Iranian and that they were released after approximately three hours to sail back towards Bahrain.Coast Guard data indicate that similar incidents have occurred on more than one occasion, carried out by Iranian individuals.The Ministry of Interior affirmed that…

Washington : United States airlines cancelled over 2,000 flights, as a powerful winter storm that disrupted airports across the Northeast was expected to ease by evening, with strong winds expected to continue into the early hours. Data from FlightAware showed that more than 2,000 flights were cancelled and 600 delayed in the eastern United States. Nearly 6,000 flights were cancelled on Monday, along with about 4,000 delays. The National Weather Service said the storm was expected to move away from the country on Tuesday, though strong winds could continue through the morning hours.
