Manama : The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the monitoring of a number of violations related to the provisions of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority Law and the Residence Law of Bahrain, during the three inspection campaigns carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, in the Capital, Muharraq and Northern Governorates.
The inspection campaigns included visits to a number of shops, work sites, and labor gathering places, to determine the extent of compliance with regulations and laws regulating the labor market.
The authority explained that two inspection campaigns were carried out in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), and the Police Directorate in the Muharraq and Northern Governorates, while the third campaign was carried out in the Capital Governorate in coordination with the Sentences Enforcement Department.
LMRA renewed its call to all members of the society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labour practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.gov.bh or by calling the authority’s call centre on 17506055.
