Manama : Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoom, Arab Parliament (AP) Speaker, has asserted that Bahrain attaches utmost importance to developing youth’s scientific and professional capabilities to increase their contributions as effective partners in the achievements of the comprehensive development process.
This reflects the sound vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa regarding the empowerment of youth, being the nation’s real asset and promising future, he said.
Al-Asoomi affirmed that the International Youth Day 2023, which is celebrated all over the world on August 12 under the theme “Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World”, provides an opportunity to renew pride in the contributions of the youth sector across various fields, under the leadership of HM the King, who believes in the importance of their role and creative potentials in ensuring the sustainability of the kingdom’s progress, as well as in the need to empower them in order to be able to serve their religion and homeland.
The AP Speaker commended the efforts of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to implement the royal vision on youth in its plan.
Al-Asoomi also paid tribute to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, for the tremendous efforts he is exerting to implement plans and programmes aimed at enhancing youth role, making Bahrain a leader in launching initiatives that develop youth and invest their potentials in various fields.
HH Shaikh Nasser’s initiatives have supported HM the King’s comprehensive development process, and enabled Bahraini youth to reach advanced levels regionally and globally, Al-Asoomi also said.
