New York : The Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Botswana today signed a Joint Communiqué establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, reflecting their shared commitment to strengthening friendship and cooperation in accordance with the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law.
The Joint Communiqué was signed on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain by Ambassador Jamal Fares Alrowaiei, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations, and on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Botswana by Ambassador Charles Masole, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Botswana to the United Nations.
Both sides affirmed that the establishment of diplomatic relations marks an important step toward strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation across areas of mutual interest, in a manner that serves the shared interests of the two nations.
They also expressed their aspiration to enhance coordination and consultation in international forums and broaden bilateral cooperation in support of security, stability, and sustainable development, while further strengthening the friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Botswana.
