Beijing : Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks on Wednesday with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, following Putin’s arrival in China late the previous evening on a state visit.
China’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement carried by Xinhua News Agency that the visit, Putin’s 25th to China, will include discussions on bilateral relations, cooperation across various sectors, and regional and international issues of mutual concern.
A spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said both sides would use the visit as an opportunity to further deepen and elevate ties between the two countries.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Russia strategic coordination partnership and the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighbourliness and Friendly Cooperation between the two countries.
