Manama : The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed strong condemnation and denunciation of the armed terrorist attack that took place inside a church in the village of Hamoud in the Karak Governorate in southern Jordan during a funeral service, resulting in the death and injury of a number of people.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended the Kingdom’s heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as to the families and relatives of the victims, wishing all those injured a speedy recovery.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s full solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its support for the measures taken by Jordan to maintain its security and stability, combat extremism and terrorism, and bring those responsible to justice.
The Ministry reiterated the Kingdom of Bahrain’s firm rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism, particularly the targeting of places of worship and the terrorising of innocent civilians, which violate religious, moral and humanitarian values and principles.
