Manama : His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, announced that the 2026–2027 camping season will run from November 25 to March 25, 2027, with registration opening at the start of the season through the “Khayem” initiative on the Southern Governorate app.
The announcement came during a coordination meeting chaired by the governor to review preparations for the season, including security, environmental and organisational measures, with the participation of Ministry of Interior officials and representatives of relevant service providers and private entities.
The governor emphasised the importance of complying with the designated camping areas, regulations and instructions to ensure public safety and protect the natural environment. He also highlighted the need for coordination among relevant authorities, awareness campaigns and environmental initiatives, in cooperation with the Southern Area Municipality.
HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali commended the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for efforts to promote security, stability and community partnership. He also expressed appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his continued support for youth and community initiatives, including the camping season.
The governorate urged campers to follow its official channels for updates and comply with the season’s regulations. Enquiries and feedback can be submitted to campers@southern.gov.bh, through the instant messaging service on the Southern Governorate app, or via the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul).
