Manama : For the third consecutive year, the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) supports Fintech Forward 2025 (FF25), reinforcing its role in shaping the future of finance. The region’s leading Fintech forum will be held on October 8-9 at Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB).
FF25 brings together key industry leaders to address the most critical topics in fintech. The forum’s dialogues are designed to deepen understanding of the sector’s rapid evolution and reinforce Bahrain’s position as a regional financial service innovator.
Khaled Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), said that previous editions of the event strengthened Bahrain’s position as a leading hub for FinTech and financial innovation. He noted that as the Kingdom’s financial services sector continues to develop, collaboration between regulators and innovators is increasingly important. He underscored the CBB’s commitment to fostering a dynamic and inclusive financial environment that supports the development and adoption of new technologies to meet the future needs of the economy.
Driving Bahrain’s economic diversification, the financial services sector contributed a leading 17.2% to the country’s GDP in 2024. This diversified sector boasts 369 local and international financial institutions, comprising leading conventional and Islamic banking institutions alongside new financial players, including crypto assets, fintech companies, digital payment providers, liquidity providers, and firms specialised in cybersecurity, reg-tech, and insure-tech.
Hosted by the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB) and programmed by Economist Impact, FF25 is supported by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), and Bahrain FinTech Bay. Year after year, Fintech Forward continues to convene global experts, financial institutions, regulators, and technology leaders from around the world.
