Manama : Yousif Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Labour and Minister of Legal Affairs and Chairman of the Occupational Safety and Health Council, chaired the second meeting of the Occupational Safety and Health Council, during which members reviewed the latest developments related to the implementation of the council’s awareness and guidance programmes for 2026.
The minister emphasised the importance of continuing efforts to strengthen occupational safety and health standards in workplaces to protect workers and enhance productivity.
He highlighted ongoing efforts to develop legislation and awareness programmes aimed at ensuring safe and sustainable working environments across productive sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting also reviewed preparations for implementing Edict (5) of 2026 regulating the summer midday work ban, in addition to the latest updates on organising the Sixth National Occupational Safety and Health Conference and Exhibition.
