Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, today visited the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
His Royal Highness was accompanied by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court.
His Royal Highness was received by HE Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, the BDF Chief of Staff, and several other senior officials.
During the visit, His Royal Highness affirmed that the Kingdom’s approach to strengthening national cohesion and the values of responsibility, in line with the royal visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, serve as the foundation for preserving national achievements and ensuring the Kingdom’s security and stability, while advancing the country’s comprehensive development amid regional challenges.
His Royal Highness expressed his pride in the efforts of the BDF’s personnel and their vital role in safeguarding the Kingdom’s security against the hostile Iranian aggression that targeted civilian infrastructure and private property.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad emphasised the importance of continuing to strengthen the readiness of the armed forces through continued development and modernisation in line with the royal visions to uphold Bahrain’s progress and support wider regional security and stability alongside allied nations.
As part of the visit, His Royal Highness was briefed on the BDF’s strategic plans and programmes.
His Royal Highness also commended the dedication and continuous efforts of HE Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed, to advance the BDF and its standing, since its foundation.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad extended his appreciation to all members of the Bahrain Defence Force for their steadfast efforts and sacrifices in serving the Kingdom, stating that their commitment and loyalty are a source of pride for Bahrain and reflect the values of patriotism and responsibility. His Royal Highness wished the BDF personnel continued success in serving the Kingdom and safeguarding its stability.
For his part, HE Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed expressed his gratitude for His Royal Highness’s continued support for the Bahrain Defence Force and its personnel, affirming the BDF’s commitment to carrying out its national duties in service of the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
HE Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed also reaffirmed the loyalty of BDF personnel to His Majesty the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and their commitment to protecting the Kingdom and preserving its security and stability.
