Manama : As part of the Indian Club Onam Fest’24, the Club had organized Tug of War competition for Gents & Ladies on Friday 27th September 2024. A total number of 7 teams participated in the Men’s & 2 in Ladies’ Tug of War
competition.
Results of Tug of War Competition:
Men’s:
o First prize – 7s Bahrain
o First Runner Up – Arikombans
o Second Runner Up – Aryans Bahrain Ponnani
Ladies’:
o First prize – Seven Stars
o Second prize – Prathibha
We also have some exciting programs lined up for 3rd & 4th October 2024. Program details are mentioned below:
Thursday 3rd October 2024 – Ona Chanda (traditional Onam market) & Nadan pattu by
renowned playback singer and folk song specialist Ms. Praseetha Chalakudy organised at 7:30pm onwards.
Friday 4th October 2024 – Pookalam (floral display) Competition at 10am. Ona Chanda (traditional Onam market), Ghoshayatra (procession of various social organization, depicting traditional folklore & costumes of different part of Kerala) Competition followed by Folk music & Fusion band by Aaravam Bahrain will be organised.
Events will be open to all. The Onasadhya (traditional Onam feast) will be served on Friday 11th October 2024, to 2500 people with all its traditional flavour & fervor with Twenty-nine various items prepared at the Club premises by well-known celebrity sadhya specialist Mr. Jayan Sukumara Pillai and served on the banana leaf to the Patrons, Members and invited guests. Sadhya coupons can be collected from The Indian Club’s reception before 7th October.
