Coronavirus: Saudi Arabia announces 2,779 new cases, 42 deaths
Saudi Arabia has reported 2,779 new cases and 42 deaths from coronavirus, taking the total cases to 232,259.
The death toll raised to 2,223 after reporting the new deaths.
Saudi is holding the 14th position for most coronavirus cases worldwide, just below Italy.
Meanwhile, 1,742 patients fully recovered from the virus, bringing the total recoveries to 167,138.
In line with recent trends, the majority of the new cases are in Riyadh (247), followed by Jeddah (191) and Al Hafouf (164).
