General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and Head of Maan (together) programme against violence and addiction; and Ali Ameeni, Director of the programme.
Maan has won the Kuwait Creativity Awareness Award 2024 at the Arab Media Forum held recently in Kuwait. It was selected from among more than 1000 entries.
The minister commended Maan’s accomplishments and the distinguished performance of its team.
He said that the programme represents an active strategy to fight extremism and ignorance through education.
General Shaikh Rashid noted the increase in the number of schools that the programme covers and the introduction of new curriculums on peaceful coexistence, fighting extremism and cybersecurity contribute to achieving its goals, including correcting the wrong behaviours among school children.
Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman affirmed the continuous support of the minister for the programme.
