Manama : In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to provide three job opportunities to every registered jobseeker by the end of the year, supporting national employment efforts and sustainable economic growth, Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Labour and Minister of Legal Affairs, said that the initiative has progressed according to a clear plan and a steady pace of work.
He explained that the approach focused on shared responsibility in achieving set objectives and translating directives into tangible outcomes for citizens. He noted that progress is measured using official data from the Social Insurance Organisation (SIO), the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA), and the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA).
The minister highlighted that three job opportunities have been offered to 18,657 jobseekers, and that 4,746 citizens have been employed under the initiative to date. He said this represents an initial step in an ambitious path of future achievements driven by the determination of Bahraini competencies.
He commended the directives of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, noting that they provide strong national momentum that motivates all parties to work at a higher pace. He added that what has been achieved in recent months marks the beginning of a broader phase of accomplishment, aimed at making the labour market more supportive and enabling national talent.
The minister also highlighted the responsible role played by the private sector, noting that the participation of its institutions in implementing the national initiative reflects their confidence in the citizen as a key partner in shaping the future of the Kingdom. He called for maintaining and strengthening the current pace of work to achieve all aspirations.
