Manama : The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning received an award under the Arab Government Excellence Award 2025 for its work on an integrated digital housing services system that streamlines procedures and enhances coordination with government and private entities.
The award was presented during a ceremony held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.
The award was received on behalf of the ministry by Donia Faisal Sarhan, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information, and Ahmed Abdulla Al Thawadi, Information Technology Director.
Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, said the initiative is part of the ministry’s digital transformation strategy, which aims to improve service quality, enhance data accuracy and reduce paperwork.
The initiative was developed in cooperation with 11 government and private-sector entities as part of the government’s digital transformation objectives for 2023–2026.
