Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received today at Sakhir Palace His Excellency Ahmad Al Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, and the accompanying delegation, during the President’s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Present was His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Upon arrival at Sakhir Palace, HE President Al Sharaa greeted senior Bahraini officials. His Majesty welcomed members of the official delegation accompanying the Syrian President.
His Majesty welcomed HE President Al Sharaa and wished him success in achieving the aspirations of the Syrian people.
HE President Al Sharaa expressed appreciation to His Majesty for the warm reception and Bahrain’s stance towards Syria and its people.
His Majesty and President Al Sharaa discussed relations and opportunities to strengthen cooperation across various domains. They also addressed regional developments and the efforts undertaken in that regard.
The discussions covered the latest developments in Syria and ways to support the country’s security and stability.
Following the meeting, His Majesty hosted a luncheon in honour of HE President Al Sharaa and the accompanying delegation.
