Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received Admiral Charles Bradford Cooper, Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), and the accompanying delegation, at Al Safriya Palace.
HM the King welcomed the CENTCOM Commander and his delegation, congratulating him on assuming his new duties and wishing him success in strengthening Bahraini-US cooperation in the defence and security sectors, to serve regional security and peace.
HM the King underscored the longstanding strategic relations and close historical partnership between the two countries, built over decades on trust, respect, and joint coordination. His Majesty also commended the continuous progress witnessed in bilateral cooperation across various sectors, as two countries and allied nations striving to achieve their shared goals and aspirations.
HM the King commended the role of the US administration in consolidating the foundations of regional security and stability.
The meeting also reviewed regional and international developments, including the latest events in the region.
