Manama : His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), visited the site of the IWF World Weightlifting Championships.
Dr. Abdulrahman Askar, CEO of the GSA; Faris Al Kooheji, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC); Eshaq Ebrahim Eshaq, President of the Bahrain Weightlifting Federation (BWF); and Mohammed Jalood Al Shammari, President of the International Weightlifting Federation, were also present.
HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed underscored the dedication of Bahraini talent and their key role in ensuring Bahrain’s continued success in hosting international sports events.
HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed reviewed the final preparations for the championship, set to officially open on December 5, and toured the facilities. He praised the high standards and efforts made to ensure the event meets international standards.
HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed emphasised that hosting the championship reflects Bahrain’s commitment to advancing weightlifting levels locally and internationally. Shaikh Salman expressed confidence that the championship will set a benchmark for success.
