Belgrade : His Highness Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, attended the military parade of the Serbian Armed Forces, titled “Power of Unity,” held in Belgrade as part of the celebrations of Unity, Freedom and Serbian Flag Day, during his official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
The parade was held in the presence of His Excellency Aleksandar Vučić, President of the Republic of Serbia; His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates, and a number of senior officials.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad said the Kingdom of Bahrain’s participation in Serbia’s celebrations reflects the close historical relations between the two countries and the support of their leaderships in strengthening cooperation across various domains. He noted Bahrain’s keenness to continue reinforcing these ties to serve mutual interests and support security and peace efforts at the regional and international levels.
HH Shaikh Nasser commended the parade, which demonstrated the high level of efficiency and discipline of the Serbian Armed Forces and their progress in training and armament.
The event began with a 300 metre Serbian flag carried before the main podium, followed by formations of the Serbian Armed Forces, displays of advanced defence systems, personal protection units, and air defences, all showcasing the qualitative development achieved by the Serbian forces at organisational and operational levels.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad was accompanied by Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor; Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Strategic Security Bureau; Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa, Capital Governor; and Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Serbia, residing in the Russian Federation.
