Manama : His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), affirmed, on Arab Youth Day, Bahrain’s commitment to empowering young people and enhancing their role in national development.
HH Shaikh Khalid noted that, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, along with the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Bahrain continues to invest in its youth as part of a wider vision to build a thriving, forward-looking society.
HH Shaikh Khalid said that Arab Youth Day is an opportunity to recognise the energy and promise of young people across the region. He affirmed that youth are the greatest asset for advancing development, highlighting that their ambition, creativity, and resilience not only inspire hope but also pave the way for a more prosperous future for their countries.
His Highness also underscored the importance of creating opportunities for youth to flourish, through targeted policies, innovation-friendly environments, and programmes that allow them to take an active role in national and regional development. HH Shaikh Khalid concluded by extending his best wishes to all young people in Bahrain and the Arab world for continued success.
