Manama : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a ceremony to mark Bahrain Diplomatic Day.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, senior ministry officials, heads of Bahrain’s diplomatic and consular missions abroad, and ministry staff, including diplomats and administrative personnel.

Dr. Al Zayani conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and expressed their appreciation for the ministry’s efforts in advancing Bahraini diplomacy in accordance with the Kingdom’s foreign policy and the leadership’s vision to enhance Bahrain’s international position.
The minister highlighted the achievements of Bahraini diplomacy, particularly the success of the Bahrain Summit and the Manama Dialogue.

He acknowledged the role of ministry diplomats and administrators in ensuring the success of these events, which reinforced Bahrain’s standing on the global stage.
Dr. Al Zayani emphasised the importance of training and self-development in diplomatic work.
He commended the Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies (MBMA) for its efforts in enhancing the skills of ministry staff, noting that 84% of the workforce completed the minimum required training hours in the past year.
The minister underscored the importance of collaboration and teamwork in Bahrain’s foreign policy.

He attributed the successes in bilateral relations and engagements with international organisations to close cooperation between ministry departments and relevant stakeholders.
Dr. Al Zayani underscored the ministry’s commitment to institutional development and the adoption of modern technology to enhance efficiency and achieve further diplomatic progress.
During the ceremony, Dr. Al Zayani honoured ministry employees, including diplomats and administrators, who achieved the highest scores in the “Excellence” system for 2024, recognising their contributions to institutional performance and productivity.
Awards were also presented for individual and team initiatives that ranked among the best submissions for 2024.
