Manama : The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced the names of those selected for its Graduate Development Programme “GP15”, designed to prepare future leaders, enhance their skills, and enable them to compete regionally and internationally.
The programme received wide interest, with 15 outstanding Bahraini graduates chosen from holders of bachelor’s degrees across different academic disciplines during the past two years from universities in Bahrain and abroad. Candidates were required to have a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.25.
CBB confirmed that all applicants underwent a comprehensive assessment process, including aptitude testing and personal interviews, in line with its commitment to selecting and preparing the best talent for participation in the programme.
On the first day, Khalid Ibrahim Humaidan, Governor of the CBB, attended alongside senior officials. Participants were introduced to the Bank’s functions and briefed on the programme’s structure, which offers a six month training opportunity across CBB departments. It includes involvement in professional projects, workshops, and field visits designed to strengthen analytical skills, financial literacy, and understanding of banking strategies.
Fatima Mohammed Ali, Director of Human Resources at CBB and Programme Director, congratulated the selected participants, noting that the programme aims to broaden opportunities for learning and professional growth while equipping graduates with specialised expertise in the financial services sector. She added that as the inaugural edition of the programme, it is intended to build a strong pool of qualified national talent to support the sector’s future.
The selected graduates are: Jannah Ashraf Rifai, Khalid Isa Al Kooheji, Dana Nabeel Kamal, Rania Moumen Al Rifai, Sayed Abdulla Ahmed Hashim, Sadiq Jaafar Mohammed, Aalya Kifah Al Baqali, Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Doseri, Abdulla Mohammed Al Jamea, Fajr Yahya Hassan, Fahad Mohammed Al Fardan, Mohammed Isa Haidar, Noor Muneer Ali, Nouf Nayef Al Nasser, and Yousif Khalid Turk.
The launch of GP15 aligns with CBB’s efforts to empower young national talent as part of the country’s development path. It also reflects the Bank’s priorities of fostering innovation, supporting digital transformation, and building promising human capital, thereby contributing to economic growth and consolidating Bahrain’s standing as a leading financial centre.
