Bahrain has reported 362 new cases of coronavirus among 177 expatriate workers and 175 contacts of active cases and 10 are travel-related.
1 death was reported in the kingdom, bringing the fatalities toll to 25.
Meanwhile, 412 additional recoveries from COVID-19 were reported.
The newly registered cases bring the total cases to 14,745 of which 9,468 have recovered making over 64 percent of the confirmed cases to recover from the virus. Currently, there are 5,252 active cases.
Also, the are 80 COVID-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 13 are in a critical condition.
So far the country has conducted 367,056 tests, which is among the highest when looking at the country’s population.
An increase in coronavirus cases among the Bahrainis was noticed by the MOH in recent days.
“The reasons for the increase in the number of cases among the citizens are due to family and social gatherings during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr,” said Dr. Waleed Khalifa Al Manea, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in a press conference.
