Manama : A press conference will be held tomorrow (Jan 18) at Al Dana Theatre to announce details of the 17th edition of the Spring of Culture Festival. Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, the Shaikh Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa for Culture and Research highlighted lined-up programmes in cooperation with Al Riwaq Art Space, Albareh Art Gallery and Art Concept. The 2023 edition of the Spring of Culture Festival will be organised in February and March, with events to be held at cultural establishments, heritage sites and other urban landmark. The festival features expos, musical concerts, panel discussions, workshops.
Manama : The first edition of a workshop titled “Legal Identity: Border Security and Safe Mobility” kicked off today in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Bahrain ; A high-level Bahraini delegation will arrive to the Swiss city Davos tomorrow to participate in the annual World Economic Forum titled “Cooperation in a Fragmented World,” which will be held from the 16th until the 20th of January. Abu Dhabi : The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has condemned the terrorist attack in the Hiran region, central Somalia, that resulted in the deaths of numerous people. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) said the UAE expresses its condemnation of these criminal acts and its permanent rejection of all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism aimed at undermining security and stability,. Abu Dhabi : The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Korea have issued a joint statement at the end of President Yoon Suk Yeol’s visit to the UAE. Pokharain : A plane making a 27-minute flight to a Nepal tourist town crashed into a gorge Sunday while attempting to land at a newly opened airport, killing at least 68 of the 72 people aboard. Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Royal Decree (5) of 2023, appointing a director-general at the Ministry of Education, based on the proposal of the Education Minister, and following the approval of the Cabinet. Under the decree, Suha Saleh Jassim Hamada was appointed Director-General for Schools’ Affairs at the Education Ministry. The Minister of Education shall implement the provisions of this decree, which takes immediate effect and will be published in the Official Gazette.
