Manama : Gulf Air announced some of its favorite beach destinations for the 2023 summer. The airline added the new route of Goa to its expanding network, which increases the number of Indian destinations on the airline’s network to nine. Ukraine : The final death toll from a weekend Russian missile strike on an apartment building in southeastern Ukraine reached 45, officials said Tuesday, as the body of another child was pulled from the wreckage. The strike in the city of Dnipro was the war’s deadliest attack since the spring on civilians at one location. Those killed in the Saturday afternoon strike included five children, and 79 people were injured, according to Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the Ukrainian president’s office. A man who fled a luxury Delhi hotel after amassing more than 2.3 million rupees ($28,000) in unpaid bills during a four-month stay is wanted by police. The scammer, who gave his name as Mohammed Sharif, is also said to have stolen silverware and pearls from the Leela Palace hotel. China has fewer people than at the start of 2022, the first decline in population since 1961. Official figures from China’s National Bureau of Statistics released on Tuesday showed mainland China had 850,000 fewer people at the end of 2022 than the previous year. More than a million fewer babies were born last year and 300,000 more people died. China’s population now stands at 1.41 billion. The bureau reported 9.56 million births in 2022, compared to 10.62 million in 2021. Deaths rose from 10.14 million to 10.41 million. Manama : The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) at the Ministry of Interior announced the deportation of 5,300 workers who violated residency laws, in the period from October to December 2022. In this regard, LMRA announced that during the same period, more than 7,153 inspection campaigns and visits were conducted, where 731 criminal violations were referred to the Public Prosecution, including 257 violations committed by employers, and 474 by workers.
