London : British Airways canceled dozens of flights on Friday due to computer problems, disrupting the plans of thousands of travelers at the start of a busy holiday weekend. Most of the 42 affected flights were on short-haul routes to and from Heathrow, Europe’s busiest airport. A flat belonging to Ukraine’s first lady has been seized by Russian-installed authorities in Crimea that said they were nationalising another wave of Ukrainian assets on the annexed peninsula. Qatar is to create 45,000 job opportunities for Yemenis by financing small projects, Yemen’s ambassador to Doha said late on Tuesday. Ambassador Rajeh Badi said young men and women in many Yemeni cities will benefit from Doha’s financial support towards entrepreneurial projects. “Qatar provides humanitarian and development support to Yemen by financing and supporting many relief operations, in addition to supporting permanent development projects,” Mr Badi told Qatari press. Johannesburg : At least 17 people have died in a cholera outbreak in the Hammanskraal township outside South Africa’s capital, Pretoria, authorities said Wednesday. The toll has risen from an initial 10 fatalities reported by local health authorities earlier this week. Authorities said there were another 29 laboratory-confirmed cholera cases, while 67 people were admitted to a hospital and clinics for gastrointestinal infections.
