Dushanbe : Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, participated in the 4th High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action, “Water for Sustainable Development” (2018-2028). Brussels : Four people were killed, including two children, after a school minibus and a train collided in the Belgian town of Buggenhout. Local authorities said the accident occurred at a level crossing near Buggenhout, around 30 kilometres north-west of Brussels, adding that details were not immediately clear. They said five other children in the minibus were seriously injured and taken to hospital, but their condition is stable. Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued a royal decree pardoning 226 inmates on the occasion of Eid Al Adha. The royal pardon includes individuals convicted in various offences who have served part of their sentences, in addition to a number of individuals under alternative sentencing. The pardon reflects His Majesty the King’s commitment to provide those pardoned with the opportunity to reintegrate into society and contribute to Bahrain’s comprehensive development process under the leadership of HM the King.

Manama : The Chief of Terrorist Crimes Prosecution stated that the High Criminal Court issued rulings during today’s session in two separate cases involving 11 defendants accused of communicating with the terrorist Iranian Revolutionary Guard organisation with the intent to carry out terrorist and hostile acts against the Kingdom of Bahrain and harm its interests. Manama : Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced another record year reflecting the strong performance of its portfolio companies and the successful implementation of the Group’s strategy.
