Taipei : At least three people were killed and 11 others injured late on Friday in an armed attack in Taiwan, according to local authorities. Taiwan’s national news agency reported that a man carrying a knife and smoke bombs launched a random attack on crowds in the capital, Taipei. Tolu : Seventeen people were killed, and 20 were injured after a bus carrying school children fell off a cliff in a rural area in northern Colombia. Andres Julian, Governor of Antioquia, said that the bus was travelling from the Caribbean town of Tolu to Medellín after a school trip and was carrying students from Antioqueño High School. Rabat : At least 21 people were killed in flash floods triggered by torrential rains on Sunday in Morocco’s Atlantic coastal province of Safi, 330 kilometres (205 miles) south of Rabat, Moroccan authorities said. The floods also injured 32 people, and most of them have left the hospital, authorities said in a statement. One hour of heavy rain was enough to flood homes and shops in the old town of Safi, and sweep away cars and cut many roads in Safi and its surroundings, as rescue efforts continue, they said.
