Manama : A telephone call was held between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saudi, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. HM the King and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman exchanged congratulations and best wishes on the holy month of Ramadan. They wished further progress and prosperity to the two countries and their peoples, as well as the Arab and Islamic nations.

Washington : Donald Trump, former US President, will lead the GOP in a third consecutive presidential election after clinching the nomination Tuesday. With wins in Georgia, Mississippi and Washington state, Trump surpassed the 1,215-delegate threshold needed to become the presumptive Republican nominee. He will formally accept the nomination at the Republican National Convention in July.
Manama : The Ministry of Works announced that the resurfacing works on Zallaq Highway between Zallaq Flyover and University of Bahrain Junction would necessitate closure of the slow lane and middle lane for westbound traffic to Zallaq. The closure will be effective starting from Friday, March 15 at 01:00 A.M. to Sunday, March 17 at 06:00 A.M. All road users are requested to observe and obey the traffic rules for the safety of all.

Manama : The Ministry of Industry and Commerce is actively enforcing ministerial order (14) dated 2022, prohibiting the manufacture, importation, and distribution of thin single-use plastic bags with a thickness of less than 35 microns by conducting awareness campaigns and inspections to ensure compliance in manufacturing facilities and retail outlets. Sion : Helicopters were combing an area near the Matterhorn mountain in Switzerland on Monday with hope fading of finding a missing skier after five other members of the party were found dead after freezing to death in “catastrophic” conditions. Sydney : At least 50 people were hurt when a Boeing 787 operated by LATAM Airlines dropped abruptly mid-flight from Sydney to Auckland on Monday, according to the airline and a New Zealand health service organization that treated the injured.
