Jerusalem : Thousands of Muslim worshippers performed the Friday prayer of the second week of Ramadan in the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem. The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem stated that nearly 120,000 worshippers had been able to reach the holy site and perform the second Friday prayer of Ramadan in the courtyards of the mosque, considered the third holiest place for Muslims worldwide.
Manama : Northern Governor, Ali bin Al Shaikh Abdulmohsen Al Asfoor, participated in the distribution of 500 healthy Iftar meals at the junction of Salman City. The distribution was part of the Northern Governorates’ Fast-Breaking on the Road activity. Taiyuan : China’s coal-rich province of Shanxi extracted 1.99 billion cubic meters of coalbed methane in the first two months of 2024, up 13.6 percent year on year, accounting for about 79 percent of the country’s total, according to the provincial statistics bureau. Utilising coalbed methane, a byproduct of coal, can help reduce risks in mining, cut greenhouse gas emissions, and ease gas shortages.
