Bahrain : International athlete Sami Ghazwan continued to shine in the Saudi Arabia International Showjumping Championship for the Single Star category, capturing his fourth title in the championship by once again securing first place in the widely contested event. The Bahraini athlete delivered a remarkable performance in the jumping and speed competition, which featured 47 athletes. Jeddah : FIFA’s revamped Club World Cup planned for 2025 and set to feature 32 teams will be played from June 15 to July 13, while a new Intercontinental Cup will be played annually from next year, Gianni Infantino, the head of world soccer’s governing body, said on Sunday. Cairo : A boat carrying dozens of migrants trying to reach Europe capsized off the coast of Libya, leaving more than 60 people dead, including women and children, the U.N. migration agency said. Beijing : The cargo and mail volume of China’s civil aviation sector totaled 719,000 tonnes in November this year, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China. It has returned to 102.8 percent of the figure recorded in the same period of 2019, exceeding the pre-epidemic level for four consecutive months, and reaching a record high in scale, the administration said. In the first 11 months of the year, the civil aviation sector has completed a total of 6.61 million tonnes of freight and mail transport, it added.
