Manama : Shaikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa, President of Civil Service Bureau (CSB), received Oscar Chow, Honorary Consul of Bahrain to Hong Kong. The President praised the Honorary Consul’s constructive efforts in fostering closer ties between Bahrain and Hong Kong, highlighting his role in strengthening cooperation and advancing areas of mutual interest. Sydney : Australia on Sunday cautiously welcomed President Donald Trump’s rollback of his tariffs on beef, while pressing the U.S. to eliminate all tariffs on Australian goods. Trump on Friday removed tariffs he had imposed on more than 200 food products, including beef, amid consumer concerns about rising U.S. grocery prices. Srinagar : At least nine people were killed and 27 injured when a pile of confiscated explosives blew up at a police station in Indian Kashmir, the region’s police chief said on Saturday, days after a car blast in New Delhi killed eight people. The dead included policemen, government officials and forensic staff who were examining the explosives at the time, Nalin Prabhat, director general of police for the federally administered region of Jammu and Kashmir, told a news conference.
