New York : The United Nations General Assembly on Thursday unanimously adopted the first global resolution on artificial intelligence to encourage protecting personal data, monitoring AI for risks, and safeguarding human rights, U.S. officials said. Islamabad : Saudi Fund for Development (SDF) CEO Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad signed two development agreements today with Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ministry of Economic Affairs Secretary Dr. Kazim Niaz to finance the establishment of the Shounter Hydropower and the Jagran-IV Hydropower Projects with development soft loans amounting to $66 million and $35 million, respectively. Jerusalem : Thousands of Muslim worshippers performed the Friday prayer of the second week of Ramadan in the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem. The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem stated that nearly 120,000 worshippers had been able to reach the holy site and perform the second Friday prayer of Ramadan in the courtyards of the mosque, considered the third holiest place for Muslims worldwide.
