London : The colt Bradsell, owned by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and Team Victorious, achieved a distinguished victory by winning first place in the Group 1 Coolmore Wootton Bassett Nunthorpe Stakes at York Racecourse in the United Kingdom. HH Shaikh Nasser noted that this victory adds to the Kingdom’s achievements and enhances its global position in equestrianism and European races.  Bradsell, ridden by jockey Hollie Doyle and trained by Archie Watson, secured first place with a time of 57.34 seconds in a 1,000-metre race.

New Delhi : Officials in the Indian state of Tripura have reported that the death toll from recent flash floods has risen to 20. Continuous rainfall over the past four days has caused rivers to overflow, leading to floods and the displacement of thousands of residents in the state. More than 65,000 people are currently staying in 450 relief camps across eight districts. Over 200 rescue teams, including civil defence, fire services, and emergency personnel, have been deployed to assist in search and relief operations following the devastating floods.

Bangkok : Nine people went missing on Thursday after a plane they were on board crashed in a forested area in Chachoengsao province, southeast of Bangkok, Thailand’s capital. Thai media reported on Friday that search operations have continued over the past hours for the nine passengers, who are feared dead. The nine individuals—two pilots and seven passengers—were on their way from Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok to Trat province when the crash occurred. Bucheon : Seven people were killed and a dozen others injured following a fire at a hotel in Bucheon, just west of Seoul, on Thursday, firefighting authorities said. The fire began in a room on the eighth floor of the nine-story hotel at 7:39 p.m., leaving seven people dead, including guests, according to authorities. Hyderabad : India’s southern state of Andhra Pradesh wrapped up rescue efforts on Thursday at a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant where an explosion the previous day killed 17 people and injured nearly 40, a senior state official said.
