Marib : The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre distributed 100 tents, 270 shelter kits, and 618 food baskets in Marib as part of its emergency shelter and life-saving food aid projects for affected residents in Yemen. Dr. Khaled Al-Shujani, Assistant Director-General of the Executive Unit for IDP Camp Management in Marib, commended the humanitarian interventions by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre in the governorate. Paris : Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced that it has signed a Collective Labour Agreement with the Gulf Air Pilots Trade Union (GAPTU). The agreement settles a longstanding dispute over pilot employment terms and allowances, marking an amicable resolution between the two parties. Manama : The Ministry of Works has announced that over 90% of the Janabiyah Road development project has been completed. Shaikh Mishaal bin Mohammad Al Khalifa, Works Ministry Undersecretary, emphasised the ministry’s commitment to expediting work to complete the project within the scheduled timeframe. Paris : His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, the President of the French Republic, officially opened the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris on Friday evening. The opening ceremony, held along the River Seine, featured 6,800 athletes from 205 countries, transported on 85 boats over a distance of six kilometres. The event was attended by 320,000 spectators along the riverbanks and 200,000 more from nearby buildings.

Abu Dhabi : The UAE’s “Operation Gallant Knight 3” distributed urgent aid, including dates and drinking water, to displaced Palestinian families in Khan Yunis. The operation aims to provide immediate relief amid severe water shortages due to infrastructure damage. Over 70,000 people benefitted from the water distribution, and 80 tonnes of humanitarian aid were delivered. The operation is also working with Khan Yunis municipality to repair water lines and tanks to ensure a sustainable water supply.
