Britain : Britain’s new government will hold an international investment summit on October 14. Prime Minister Keir Starmer will bring together up to 300 industry leaders to catalyse investment in the UK, the British government said in a statement. Manama : The Regional Centre of Excellence for Capacity Building of Combating Trafficking in Persons , under the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), held a specialised training workshop for its inspection sector employees. The workshop, held to mark the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, aimed to enhance the skills and capabilities of inspectors to identify and assist potential victims among migrant workers. Nineteen front-line inspectors participated in the training session, conducted at the LMRA headquarters. Manama : Nibras Mohamed Ali Talib, CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), chaired the meeting of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons (NCCTIPs). The meeting discussed topics on the agenda and discussed the mechanism for combating human trafficking in Bahrain. The ministry indicated that applicants can to update income details online by attaching documents through the eService labeled “update income details” on bahrain.bh. Somali : At least 32 people were killed and several others injured after a suicide bomber and gunmen targeted a popular beachfront location in the Somali capital, a police spokesman said on Saturday. Abdifatah Adan Hassan said around 63 people are wounded, some of them critically. The attack was carried out by al-Shabab militants who control large parts of southern and central Somalia.
