London : Britain’s aviation regulator said it would allow drones to inspect infrastructure such as power lines and wind turbines, a move the authority has described as a significant milestone. The UK’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had said earlier this year that it wanted to permit more drone flying for such activities as well as for deliveries and emergency services. Manama : The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the implementation of 1,708 inspection campaigns and visits, during the period of 6 to 12 October 2024, which resulted in the detention of 28 violating and irregular workers, while 180 violators were deported. Cairo : Twenty people were injured, as initial estimates, after a locomotive rammed into a sleeper train coming from Aswan towards Cairo on Sunday in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Minya, the Health and Population Ministry said. In a statement, the ministry said 19 of the injured were ambulanced to Minya General Hospital while one was taken to Minya University Hospital. According to preliminary reports, injuries include bruises and abrasions. No deaths were reported so far.
