Abu Dhabi : The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC) has launched a new index to measure the strength of community engagement with the Arabic language, coinciding with the UAE’s designation of 2025 as the “Year of the Community.” The index is based on a statistical model that monitors the development of individuals’ connection to Arabic across personal, familial, and institutional dimensions. Bangkok :The death toll from the massive earthquake that hit Myanmar is 3,085. As search and rescue teams found more bodies, another 4,715 people have been injured and 341 are missing. The epicenter of Friday’s 7.7 magnitude earthquake was near Mandalay, Myanmar’s second-largest city. It brought down thousands of buildings, buckled roads and destroyed bridges in multiple regions.
