Abuja : The death toll from a boat sinking in Niger State, north-central Nigeria, has risen to 60. Abdullahi Baba Ara, Chairman of Borgu Local Government Area, said the figure is likely to increase, noting that 10 people are in critical condition while many remain missing. Manama : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed it secured the return of 30 Bahraini citizens, most of whom are families and children, after they faced an emergency situation abroad resulting from a local travel agency’s failure to meet its contractual obligations with a hotel. Mumbai : India is likely to get above-average monsoon rainfall in September after receiving 5% above-normal rains in August, the state-run weather department said on Sunday. Above-normal rainfall could damage India’s summer-sown crops like rice, cotton, soybean, corn, and pulses, which are typically harvested from mid-September.
