Manama : The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has announced the opening of volunteering for civilians (males and females) to join the reserve force, for relatives of employees and retirees in the Bahrain Defence Force and the National Guard (military and civilian) for the year 2024. Those wishing to apply for volunteering should register on the Bahrain Defence Force website at the following link: https://www.bdf.bh.
The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force stipulated that applicants must meet the following conditions: be of Bahraini nationality, not less than (18) years of age and not more than (55) years of age, with the exception of technicians, specialists, or according to the requirements of duty, be of good conduct and behavior, not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor that violates honor or trust, be medically fit for military service in the reserve force, successfully pass the medical examination prescribed according to the system of military medical committees in the Bahrain Defence Force, and submit an application to volunteer on the form provided on the website.
The Reserve Force Law issued by Decree-Law No. (5) of 1987, and the regulations and instructions issued pursuant thereto, organized all the rights and duties of the Reserve Force as a (reserve) force to the Bahrain Defence Force, and also included the benefits and entitlements resulting from that.
