Manama: Labour and Social Development Minister Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan patronised today the opening the Emotional Intelligence Forum which was held under the theme “Emotional Intelligence to Reduce Work Stress and Enhance Productivity”.
The event was organised by Origin Group, in the presence of its Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Banna, Board Chairman of the International Federation of Training and Development Organisations (IFTDO) Dr. Ibrahim Khalifa Al Dossari, specialist and officials from the training and human resources development field, students and graduates.
The forum aims at availing of international experiences in studying contemporary concepts in human resources development. It casts light on the importance of emotional intelligence and its direct impact on professional success mainly in terms of time management, taking decisions, assuming responsibility, trust and effective communication.
It also sheds light on obstacles, work and life stress facing the employees and ways of tackling them as well as practical applications of the concepts of emotional intelligence, stress management and boosting the skill of serving customers from inside and outside the institution to achieve a healthy and flexible work environment.
