Manama : Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, continues to raise the intensity of its 2026/2027 season with the second round of the Bahrain Rotax MAX Challenge (BRMC) this Friday, October 23, in Sakhir.
The BRMC is the Kingdom’s premier national karting championship and it will be taking place at BIC’s world-class grassroots motorsport facility, Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC).
The meeting follows the hugely thrilling opening event held just last weekend, as Bahrain’s top karters of various ages and nationalities are back for more wheel-to-wheel battles in their very own Rotax-powered karts.
This weekend’s racing is organised by BIC and BIKC, in cooperation with the Bahrain Motor Federation and the Bahrain Karting Commission.
Participants will hit the tarmac at BIKC’s 1.414-kilometre CIK-FIA track under the circuit’s bright, state-of-the-art floodlights in five different categories, including Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX, and DD2 MAX.

Action on Friday is scheduled to begin at 3.20pm with free practices, to be followed by qualifying practices from 4.10pm. The heats will then be held from 5.15pm and the pre-finals will follow from 7.05pm. That will set the stage for the finals, to be held from 9.25pm.
The evening’s programme will culminate with the podium ceremonies, slated for 30 minutes after the completion of the night’s last session.
All are welcome to attend and cheer for the BRMC’s karters. Entrance to BIKC is free of charge.
A large field is entered with many of last weekend’s competitors coming back for more action.
The Micro MAX category is set to feature Sami Albandak and Henry Toon, while the Mini MAX class will comprise Abdulaziz Alsarraf, Enzo Younes, Liam Boyd, Ehan Anjam, Ayman Raffii, and Aariv Saha.
The Junior MAX field is made up of Rayyan Najjar, Faisal Alnajjar, Abdulrahman Mohamed, Bader Faisal, Liam Landy, Saish Chinchrekar, Maximilliam Straarup, Younis Bardooli, and Shlock Sagar.
The Senior MAX category boasts the BRMC’s largest grid of 12 drivers, including Demir Abali, Vansh Benani, Luca Houghton, Jude Andrews, Yousif Alaali, Khaled Najjar, Samy Landy, Vedant Menon, Rashid Hilal, Noor Van Veldhoven, Yousif Alghaith, and Jeet Sagar.
The DD2 MAX fleet completes the second round’s entry list with Rakan Alfayez, Mohammed Alhasan, and Leopold Juch.

The karters are competing this BRMC season for their respective teams, namely Oryx Racing, Victorious Motorsport, MMR, KR Motorsport ME, and V-One.
The BRMC features a total of eight rounds in its 2026/2027 calendar. Following this weekend’s meeting, round three is slated for November 20. Rounds four and five will then take place on back-to-back weekends on December 4 and 11, marking the final action of the calendar year.
Action resumes in 2027 with rounds six and seven on January 8 and 16, respectively, setting the stage for the championship finale on February 5.
