Lisbon :The Royal Endurance Team concluded its participation in the 2026 FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Horses, held over 120 kilometres in Portugal featuring riders from around the world, as rider Fahad Helal Al Khatri finished fourth overall.
The championship saw strong competition, with Royal Endurance Team riders delivering good performances throughout the stages. Fahad Helal Al Khatri finished fourth, followed by Khalifa Mubarak Sabt in tenth, Jaber Bader Jaafar in eleventh, Saud Mubarak Sabt in thirteenth and Shaikh Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa in eighteenth.
Salem Al Kitbi of the United Arab Emirates claimed first place, while his compatriot Mansour Saeed Al Farsi finished second and Spain’s Blanco Rodrigo came third.
Dr. Khalid Ahmed Hassan, Director General of the Royal Stables and Royal Endurance Team, said the team’s participation in the Endurance World Championship for Young Horses yielded several positive outcomes. He noted that securing fourth place, alongside several team riders finishing in leading positions, reflected the considerable efforts made by the riders throughout the race.
Dr. Hassan congratulated the UAE on securing first and second places in the championship. He congratulated Al Kitbi on winning first place and Al Farsi on finishing second.
He said achievements by GCC riders at international championships are a source of pride and reflect the advanced level reached by endurance sport in the region and its prominent presence on the international stage.
