Manama : The Labour Ministry has developed a new digital service allowing jobseekers to request the postponement of a job interview appointment. The service allows jobseekers to submit a request to postpone their scheduled interview in advance, with requests reviewed according to approved procedures.
Under the upgraded service, the user interface has been improved, procedures simplified and services fully digitised. Previously, jobseekers had to contact the ministry by phone, email or the national Tawasul system to provide reasons for postponement. Following the upgrade, beneficiaries can directly access the National Employment Platform and submit their reasons for postponement electronically one day before the interview, while service information published across all channels has also been standardised.

His Higness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, said the service is part of the ministry’s continued adoption of innovative digital solutions to improve the beneficiary experience, increase service efficiency and speed up completion. His Highness added that the development reflects the ministry’s commitment to continuously improving its services and the quality of procedures provided to beneficiaries, and enhancing the effectiveness of the labour system.
As part of ongoing government efforts to develop and redesign government services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated and published, with 800 undergoing development and redesign across various government sectors. This was based on suggestions and feedback on government services submitted through the national Tawasul system, investor feedback and mystery shopper reports assessing government services. Guidelines and service level agreements have also been introduced to improve procedural efficiency, enhance service quality and the beneficiary experience, and support government digital transformation.
