London : As part of the close relations and ongoing cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom across various domains, particularly equestrianism and horseracing, the Bahrain Trophy was held during the July Festival at the historic Newmarket Racecourse in the United Kingdom. The event coincided with the celebration of the Golden Jubilee, marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC).

The race was attended by Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB), and Yusuf Osama Buhiji, Member of Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club’s High Committee and Acting Chief Executive Officer, along with members of the REHC’s High Committee, as well as distinguished guests and horseracing enthusiasts from around the world.

Khaled Hussein Taqi and Ali Habib Qasim, Members of the REHC High Committee, presented the Bahrain Trophy Stakes to the representative of the winning owners, Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, after Point Of Law won the opening race. The horse was trained by John and Thady Gosden and ridden by James Doyle.
Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed and Kamal Murad Ali, Member of the REHC’s High Committee, presented the Kingdom of Bahrain July Stakes trophy to Abdullah Al Mansouri, representing the Emirati Godolphin stable, following the victory of Inner City Blues, trained by Charlie Appleby and ridden by William Buick.
